Diary of a Yoga Teacher: My Journey + Inspiration
I often get asked about my journey into yoga + what it’s like being a yoga teacher. It’s a story I love sharing, because every experience, challenge + triumph has shaped how I live + teach today.
What started as a few Instagram captions quickly became over 4,000 words—and that was before even touching on 2020! That’s when I knew I needed a bigger platform to share my story: ‘Diary of a Yoga Teacher.’
Not only did I share my story on Instagram, but I also created an ebook + a YouTube video series to capture the journey in full.
The journey as a yoga practice
Writing + creating this content became a yoga practice in itself. It was an exercise in self-reflection (Svadhyaya), helping me check in with myself, my experiences + my growth.
Through this process, I also discovered Santosha (contentment)—finding joy + satisfaction in my journey, just as it is. It reminded me why I began this path: to live consciously, authentically + with presence.
Why I created ‘Diary of a Yoga Teacher’
I wanted to:
Document my personal journey into yoga + teaching
Share lessons, insights + challenges along the way
Inspire others to explore their own yoga path
Show that yoga is a lifestyle, not just a practice on the mat
This project became more than storytelling—it became a way to reflect, celebrate progress + embrace the philosophy I teach every day.
How you can explore my journey
All the content is free, including the ebook. You can explore the story in multiple ways:
Watch the YouTube series – see my journey come to life on screen
Read the FREE ebook – dive deep into my experiences, insights + reflections
Whether you’re just starting your yoga practice, reconnecting with your mat, or curious about the life of a yoga teacher, there’s something here for you.
Lessons from my journey
Throughout this journey, I’ve learned that yoga is not just about the poses—it’s about living with intention, reflection + joy.
Some key takeaways:
Self-reflection matters: Svadhyaya is powerful for understanding yourself + your growth.
Contentment is a practice: Santosha teaches us to find peace in the present moment, even amidst challenges.
Storytelling is transformative: Sharing our journey allows us to process experiences + inspire others.
Yoga is a lifestyle: It’s woven into daily life, from the way we move + breathe to how we interact + care for ourselves + others.
