I love home based workouts! So here are a 6 weeks worth of ‘Caroline Inspired Workouts’ for you to do in the comfort of your own home. They will get your heart rate up, exercise your heart and lungs and strengthen your body through your own body weight. No equipment is needed for the workouts. If you’re aiming to do this regularly then make sure you’re challenging yourself each time – maybe adding on an extra set, extra reps or increase the intensity of the movements. Aim to do the workouts 3-4 times a week for best results.

Always perform a warm-up before working out, and seek the advice of a qualified expert if you are new to exercise or haven’t exercised in a while. Lots of people tend to skip the warm up & cool down – but it’s vital aspect of training. Warming up prepares your heart, lungs, and muscles for the more strenuous phase, the main focus of your workout. Cooling down helps your heart rate and breathing to return towards resting levels gradually, and allows muscle to repair and recover after the workout.

As always, your body is your best teacher – listen to what its telling you. NEVER push through pain. There is a difference between pain and working your muscles.

Workout because you LOVE your body, not because you’re punishing your body for something you ate, or because you hate your body. If we solely rely on atheistic’s for our motivation, it’s hard to keep motivated when we’re not feeling our best. Workout because you want to FEEL good, because you want to take care of yourself, rather than only working out because you want to look a ‘certain way’. Our bodies NEED movement daily. So try to focus working out because you want to take care of your body from the inside – remember that exercise reduces cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, stroke and type 2 diabetes – that’s a pretty good motivator!
